Domestic Ticketing

We are an accredited ticketing agent for Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific and Airphil Express. We have existing performance and cash bonds with these companies and contracts which are renewed per annum. We facilitate reservations and ticketing through both GDS and online facilities, depending on our client requirement, e.g. for Cebu Pacific, senior citizen discounts can only be availed through online reservations. We are also able to ticket directly with Ocean Jet Fast Ferries, one of the largest fast-craft providers in the Visayas and Mindanao. We have an existing cash bond with them. We can also reserve and ticket with other domestic transport providers through our partner agencies and suppliers. We charge a ticketing fee on top of the ticket net rate.

International Ticketing

We are able to ticket directly with most airlines which operate offices in the Philippines such as Delta Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Emirates and Hawaiian Airlines, etc. However, some carriers require that we finalize our bookings with IATA agents. There are a little over a hundred IATA agents in the country, all of whom are based outside of Region 10. Our transactions with partner airlines and IATA agents are on a strict cash-only basis with certain exceptions. We charge a basic ticketing fee on top of the airline net rate.

International Cruises

We are also able to sell and service all international cruise lines through their accredited wholesalers, preferred sales agents (PSA). Some of these cruise lines are Star Cruises, Princess Cruise, Azamara, Crystal Cruise and many others.

There is basically no competition with regard to rates as “special discounts” are strictly prohibited. We are also able to package cruises with other land-based accommodation and tours along with the crucial airline component to make travel as seamless and worry-free as possible.

Inbound Tour Packages

Bringing tourists to Cagayan de Oro and Region 10 is our passion. We hope to see more foreign and local tourists and business travelers’ arrivals in the coming years. Our region is composed of four provinces: Bukidnon, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental and Misamis Occidental. They are represented by the major cities and of Cagayan de Oro, Gingoog, Malaybalay, Valencia, Iligan, Tangub, Ozamis and El Salvador.

As a local tour operator, we have created the WOW Cagayan de Oro packages which include in detail the various sights and wonders to be explored in Northern Mindanao through day tours. (See Appendix A)

We also do customized tour packages for 3d2n, 4d3n and so on which include accommodations, tours, breakfast and airport transfers which appeal to passengers who want to enjoy and maximize their stay in our beautiful city. (See Appendix B)

We are also able to provide our clients access to resorts, tours, transport and other services to exciting Philippine destinations such as Bohol, Boracay, Palawan, Siquijor and many others. Under the “hub” concept, we are able to offer tours which allow passengers to visit Cagayan de Oro before jetting off to Camiguin and from there continuing to Bohol and other destinations through a reliable network of air, land and sea transport which practically connects the entire archipelago.

Outbound Tour Packages

Through the years we have been able to wean ourselves from Manila and Cebu based travel agencies to provide us with our international tour packages for Hong Kong, Macau and other regional destinations. Today, we deal directly with tour operators in each country of destination in practically all areas of the globe. This enables us to offer more competitive, tailor-made and worry-free experiences to our clients.

Aside from the usual regional destinations and adventures, we also have our very own Holyland itinerary which includes a visit to three countries: Egypt, Israel and Jordan with an optional side trip to Dubai.

Travel Insurance

Our clients can travel locally and abroad with peace of mind when they avail of the various travel insurance policies we have available. With a reasonable premium, this service covers baggage loss, travel delays, loss of documents, medical emergencies and other unforeseen events. We offer access to the products and services of companies such as Assist Card, Blue Cross and Travel Assure. We earn a commission from these providers.

Visa & Documentation

We are able to assist our passengers with their travel documents from passports, visa application and BID consultation.

For visa applications, we assist with appointment-setting, payment of fees at accredited banks and assistance in filling up application forms. We are also committed to ensuring that our passengers submit genuine documents and information in line with our company policy “Be Honest” adopted from the organization of the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP).

Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE)

We have, through the years, been able to assist and handle the hotel accommodation and tours of major events such as:

  • BCBP Convention
  • PICPA Convention
  • Various Medical Conventions and Conferences

We have also handled tours and accommodation for school departments and organizations.

We also handle local and foreign events and incentive tours by Philippine-based companies for their employees and suppliers.

OUR COMPANY

Swift Travel & Tours is a Philippine travel agency established in 2002 as a sole proprietorship with more than a decade’s worth of experience dealing with both local and international travel industry clientele.

It is located in Cagayan de Oro, one of the busiest and most progressive cities in enchanting Mindanao. It has been the agency of choice for tourists and business travelers who wished to explore and experience the beauty and majesty of the Philippine islands and international destinations.

As a full-service travel provider, the company is able to issue tickets for all domestic and most international airlines; create personalized inbound and outbound tour packages; book hotels here and abroad; make reservations for cruises; arrange for land and sea transport; handle events and incentive tours; and assist passengers with their visa, travel insurance and other travel-related needs.

Our staff is trained to handle three (3) of the top Global Distribution Systems (GDS): Galileo, Amadeus (Cebu Pacific) and Abacus (Philippine Airlines/Airphil Express). Through these systems, we are able to provide our passengers fast, reliable and real-time access to flight availability and seat reservation 24/7.

As a travel business entity, we are licensed and accredited by all appropriate government agencies such as the City Government of Cagayan de Oro, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Tourism (DOT), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) and the Philippine Government Procurement System (PHILGEPS).

We hold the distinction of having been appointed as the local representative for GRAYLINE INC., the world’s largest and oldest tour operator. Their main office is located in Colorado, USA and they have numerous travel partners across the globe. With this partnership, we expect to handle the only foreign travel brand in the region. In the Philippines, Grayline Inc. is currently operating in Metro Manila, Cebu and Bohol.

We have also recognized the need to partner and collaborate with our fellow players in the travel industry. Our general manager is the current president of the Cagayan de Oro Travel and Tours Association, Inc. (COTTA) a local travel organization of which we are a charter member. Furthermore, we are the only Cagayan de Oro-based member of the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) and we are accredited with the Philippine Tourism Congress.

OUR VISION

As we aim to make Cagayan de Oro the premier destination among foreign and local travelers, we must address the need for multi-unit land transportation:

  1. for the growing foreign and local arrivals;
  2. to serve the hotels and accommodations who have no or inadequate airport transfers;
  3. to serve the airport transfers for both locals and visitors;
  4. to serve the demand for cost-effective local tours and;
  5. to serve the needs of conventions, seminars and event participants.

And to add value to our present operations for ticketing, we see the need to upgrade our status to become an IATA agent in response to the growing need of our expatriate community to be issued their international tickets right form our office and reduce the dependence of regional travel agencies on airlines and out-of-town based IATA agents. In the near future, Swift Travel + Tours intends to set-up, in partnership with other investors, a Tourist class Hotel (3*) and a Water Park Resort.
